The Pause Menu, a nice place to be
The Pause Menu is a functionality that I'm specially proud of because every moment I was working on it I was like "wow, this is starting to feel like an actual game :OOOO". This menu has four initial options: "Items", "Party", "Save" and "Back":
The last two are very self explanatory, "Save" saves the game and "Back" goes back to the overwold. (I may talk about how do I implemented the saving functionality in the future but now is not the time). The party option shows stats about the party and you can go back to the first menu using "x":
Finally the "Items" menu lets you select and item and consume it if posible. For example orange segments recover hp and stamina:
I forgot to show that items update and when there are no more items of the selected type left it kicks you back to the item selection menu but that's what it does, I'm just too lazy to make another gif about it.
And with that we are up to date, the battle functionality is not fully working yet so I don't want to make a post about it for now. But I think (hope) it will be ready sometime around next week. See you then!
