Weekly Dev Log #7


Writting Department

  • Wrote Story for the first adventure of the game
  • Got an idea for how the third adventure is going to play out

Music and Sound Department

  • Made account in website with free sound effects
  • Got some sound effects for micelaneous stuff

Programming Department

  • Polished first area to explore
    • may need a level editor from now on
    •  here's an image


  • Added debug controls in overworld to see level design better
  • Added filter support to overworld's camera
  • Added filter shaders for color blindness
  • Added filter controls to debug overworld controls
    • To see how a colorblind person will see the game (in order: original colors, deuteranopia, protanopia and tritanopia)

  • Polished First area rearranging the trees because they were weirdly placed

Art Department

  • Polished two item icons
  • Added four item icons

I understand now why people use unity or godot. The lack of a level editor is hitting  me hard. But I can't make a custom one given the deadline.

I think that I'll make my following games in unity but I sure have learnt a lot using love2d.
