Weekly Dev Log #43


I'm not very happy with how this week turned out, I felt like I wasn't very productive. I ended up crunching a lot also. Next week I'll try to respect my schedule more.

Programming Department

  • Battle App
    • Refactored conditions that change temporal parameters to avoid duplicated code
    • Implemented new enemy action effects
    • Implemented 3 new enemy action animations
    • Implemented Plus Defense Condition
    • Implemented Minus Accuracy Condition
    • Implemented Stunned Condition
    • Implemented a new action involving bottled honey
    • Implemented new action for Mac
    • Fixed old bug where some animations played in the wrong order for every move sometimes
    • Fixed bug where the color borders didnt scale well with fullscreen
    • Polished regain composure animation
  • Cutscene App
    • Fixed a bug where continuing after the end of the demo didn't stopped the end music
  • Overworld App
    • Fixed scaling problem with lights shader
    • Fully implemented new enemy encounters in deep way
    • Fixed Bermillions dialog reseting when reloading room
    • Fixed bug where the script for when player interacts with Zack and her friend while unconscious is missing after just defeating them
    • Created a new animation that changes the animation of the player depending on their speed
      • Used it for last script of the demo (for patch 3)
    • Changed bermillions basket dialog when you haven't talked to him yet
    • Made Amber face the other way when talking to herself
  • Other
    • Fixed typos in spanish version of the demo
    • Implemented circular collision shapes
      • And made them compatible with other collision shapes

Art Department

  • Made icon minus accuracy
  • Made icon plus defense
  • Made icon stunned
  • Made 3 new enemy action animations
  • Made spritesheet for new enemy in battle
  • Made new enemy battle icon
  • Made new animation for mac actions
