Hiya! I have more free time now that I finished a course I was doing during November and December so I'm trying to spend more time developing the game.
What's left:
Use the editor to create the maps of the final area of the game(DONE!)Create the entities and more simple interactions
- Polish these maps and entities (We are here now!)
- Create all the art for this area and entities
- Create song for the area
- Implement events for the last area
- Implement every event for the last area
- Implement the final fights and boss
- Make music for the important events
- End of the game
- Implement scene for the end of the game
- Make music for this scene
- Post Production
- Add steam achievements
- + Playtest the game and change things when
- Create cool art for desktop wallpapers
- 2 drawings should be enough
- + Playtest the game and change things when necessary
Some Detail
- Added and implemented all remaining mockups from the last zone into the game
- Remade my warp debug room because it was too unorganized (here's some footage of the new warp room)
- Fixed bug that made it so the frame of the portraits when characters speak covered some of the sprite
- Added back option to title screen configuration menu
- Fixed some debug options to see collisions
- Polished some overworld scripts
- Polished visually first room of the last zone
- Made a debug room for a new mechanic in the overworld
- Minor improvements to the editor
The Plan
Next I'll work on adding stuff to the second area because there are some rooms that are a little bit empty. After that I have to implement a new boss for the game. Then I'll work on the last area of the game and finally the last boss.
After all that I'll work on optimization of the systems so the game runs more smoothly in all devices and it should be done. I'm trying to work a little on the game every day, around 1 hour per day. Given the new deadline for july 2022 I hope this is enough time.
